Azaadi (Kashmir)

Azaadi, which means "freedom" in Urdu, refers to the call for independence or self-determination in Kashmir, a region claimed by both India and Pakistan. The demand emerged from unresolved political issues and historical conflicts following the partition of British India in 1947. Many Kashmiri people seek greater autonomy, independence, or integration with Pakistan, often voicing their aspirations through protests, political movements, and, at times, violence.
