Ayodhya Temple
The Ayodhya Temple refers to a proposed Hindu temple in Ayodhya, India, believed to be the birthplace of Lord Rama, a major deity. Historically, a structure known as the Babri Masjid was built there in the 16th century, which was later disputed. In 1992, the mosque was demolished by Hindu activists, leading to widespread unrest. After decades of legal and political debate, the Indian Supreme Court in 2019 authorized the construction of a Hindu temple on the site, aiming to resolve the long-standing dispute and honor religious sentiments.
