Axum Obelisk

The Axum Obelisk, located in Axum, Ethiopia, is a monumental stone structure that dates back to the 4th century AD. It was built to honor a king and serve as a marker for his gravesite. The obelisk was originally transported to Italy during the 1930s but was returned to Ethiopia in 2005.
