Axis

An axis is an imaginary or real line around which an object rotates or is symmetrically aligned. In physics, it's the line that a spinning object turns around, like the Earth's axis, which runs through the North and South Poles, giving us day and night cycles. In geometry, the axis often refers to a line used as a reference point for symmetry or measurements, such as the y-axis in a graph. Essentially, an axis helps us understand how objects move, are positioned, or are structured in space.
