Axiom of Parallelism
The Axiom of Parallelism, often associated with Euclidean geometry, states that through a given point not on a line, there is exactly one line that is parallel to the original line—meaning it never intersects it. In simple terms, if you imagine a straight road and a point somewhere off the road, there’s only one way to draw a new line through that point that will run alongside the original without crossing it. This axiom helps establish the consistent behavior of lines and shapes in flat, Euclidean space, forming the foundation for classical geometry.
