The Axiom of Infinity is a fundamental assumption in set theory that guarantees the existence of an infinite set. It states that there is a set, often thought of as the set of natural numbers (0, 1, 2, 3, ...), which contains the number 0 and, whenever it contains a number, it also contains the next number.
