AWIS chapters

AWIS chapters are local branches of the Association for Women in Science, formed to support women in STEM fields. They aim to foster professional development, mentorship, networking, and advocacy at a community level. By organizing events, workshops, and outreach, chapters help members connect, share resources, and promote gender equity in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Essentially, AWIS chapters create a supportive environment where women in STEM can thrive, collaborate, and advance their careers while working to increase representation and inclusivity across scientific disciplines.
