Avro Aircraft

Avro Aircraft was a Canadian aerospace company known for designing and manufacturing a range of aircraft, including fighters, bombers, and transport planes, primarily during the mid-20th century. Founded in 1945, it contributed significantly to military aviation and aerospace advancements, including the development of the Avro Arrow, a highly advanced interceptor aircraft intended to defend North American airspace during the Cold War. Although many of its projects were canceled or did not go into mass production, Avro's innovations influenced aircraft design and technology, and the company played a key role in Canada's aerospace industry history.
