Aviation authorities

Aviation authorities are government or independent organizations responsible for regulating, overseeing, and ensuring the safety, security, and efficiency of all aspects of civil aviation. They set standards for aircraft design, maintenance, pilot training, and operational procedures. These agencies also manage air traffic control, certify airlines, and enforce international aviation laws. Their primary goal is to protect passengers, crew, and the general public while promoting safe and sustainable air travel. Examples include the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the U.S. and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
