Avestruz

An "avestruz" is the Spanish word for the ostrich, the world's largest flightless bird. Native to Africa, ostriches are known for their impressive size, long legs, and necks, which help them spot predators from afar. They can run at high speeds—up to about 60 mph—making them excellent escape artists. Ostriches are also farmed for their eggs, meat, feathers, and leather. Despite not flying, they are highly adapted to open environments and are an important part of certain ecosystems and agricultural industries.
