Australian Military Forces
The Australian Military Forces, now known as the Australian Defence Force (ADF), comprise the Army, Navy, and Air Force. They are responsible for defending Australia’s sovereignty, supporting national interests, and assisting in times of emergency or peacekeeping missions. The Army handles land-based operations, the Navy secures Australia’s waters and sea lanes, and the Air Force manages aerospace defense and surveillance. Together, they provide a coordinated force to protect the country, contribute to international peacekeeping efforts, and respond to natural disasters. Their personnel includes full-time soldiers, sailors, airmen, and reservists who train regularly to maintain readiness and capabilities.
