Australian Industrial Relations Commission (AIRC)

The Australian Industrial Relations Commission (AIRC) was a government body responsible for overseeing workplace relations, including setting minimum employment standards, resolving disputes, and approving enterprise agreements. It aimed to promote fair, productive, and cooperative workplace practices across Australia. In 2009, its functions were transferred to the Fair Work Australia (now the Fair Work Commission), which continues to regulate employment conditions and workplace relations nationwide.
