Aurelian of Réôme

Aurelian of Réôme was a 6th-century monk and librarian associated with the Abbey of Saint-Rémi in France. He is best known for compiling and preserving ancient Latin texts, including hymnographies and religious writings, during a period when many classical works were at risk of being lost. His work helped transmit early Christian liturgical poetry and theological ideas to later generations. Although little is known about his personal life, his contributions played a significant role in preserving medieval Christian literary and musical heritage, making him an important figure in the history of early Christian studies and monastic scholarship.
