Aung San (father)

Aung San was a prominent Burmese political leader and independence hero who played a key role in ending British colonial rule in Myanmar. Born in 1915, he founded the influential political party and led efforts for national sovereignty. As Myanmar's first Prime Minister after independence in 1948, he worked to unify diverse ethnic groups and modernize the country. Tragically, he was assassinated in 1947, just before independence was achieved. His leadership and vision laid the foundations for Myanmar’s nationhood, earning him the title “Father of the Nation.”
