Auger electron spectrometer

An Auger electron spectrometer is a scientific instrument used to analyze the surface composition of materials. When a material's surface is energized by a beam of electrons, it causes atoms on its surface to emit electrons, known as Auger electrons. By measuring the energies of these emitted electrons, the spectrometer identifies which elements are present and their concentrations.
