Audio Feedback

Audio feedback occurs when a sound system's microphone picks up sound from speakers and re-amplifies it, creating a loop. This loop causes a loud, high-pitched screech or noise that can be disruptive or damaging to equipment. Feedback often happens when the microphone is too close to the speakers or the volume is too high. To prevent it, sound engineers adjust microphone placement, decrease volume, or incorporate feedback suppression devices. Understanding and managing audio feedback ensures clear sound quality during performances, presentations, or recordings.
