Attitude-Behavior Theory

Attitude-Behavior Theory suggests that a person's beliefs and feelings (attitudes) influence how they act (behavior). While people’s attitudes often guide their actions, the connection isn't always direct—other factors like social pressure or situational context can also affect behavior. Essentially, if someone has a positive attitude toward recycling, they're more likely to recycle, but their actual behavior depends on circumstances like access to recycling bins or peer influence. This theory helps us understand how thoughts and feelings shape actions, though real-world behavior can sometimes deviate from one's attitudes.
