Attention Deficit Disorder
Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), now often called Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) inattentive type, is a condition where individuals struggle with maintaining focus, organizing tasks, and following through on commitments. It is caused by differences in brain activity that affect attention regulation. People with ADD may appear distracted, forgetful, or disorganized, but they are not intentionally careless. It’s a neurological condition that can impact daily functioning, but it can be managed through strategies like routines, environment adjustments, and sometimes medication. Understanding and support are key to helping those with ADD succeed.
