
Attalos II
Attalos II was a Greek king of Pergamon from 138 to 133 BCE, known for strengthening his kingdom through alliances and military skill. He was the son of Attalos I and expanded Pergamon’s influence in Asia Minor. Attalos II also played a key role in uniting neighboring regions and maintaining stability against rival powers. He is remembered for his intelligence, diplomatic ability, and dedication to his people's welfare. After his death, he bequeathed Pergamon's throne and library to Rome, which helped establish Pergamon as a major cultural hub in the ancient Greek world.
