ATSC standards

ATSC (Advanced Television Systems Committee) standards define how digital television signals are transmitted and received in North America. They specify the technology for high-definition, 4K, and other digital broadcasts, ensuring high-quality picture and sound. Essentially, ATSC creates the rules for TV broadcasters and devices to communicate seamlessly, allowing viewers to enjoy clearer images, richer audio, and additional features like interactive content. It replaced older analog systems, enabling more efficient use of the broadcast spectrum while supporting modern TV formats and services.
