Atomic Weight
Atomic weight is a measure of how much an atom of an element weighs compared to infinitely small units. It takes into account all the naturally occurring forms (isotopes) of that element and their relative abundance. Essentially, atomic weight represents the average mass of the atoms of an element based on these isotopes. It helps scientists compare elements and use them in calculations, such as in chemistry and physics. Expressed in atomic mass units (amu), atomic weight is a useful number for understanding the properties and behaviors of different elements.
