ATO (Air Traffic Organization)
The Air Traffic Organization (ATO) is a division of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) responsible for managing and controlling the safe and efficient movement of aircraft within U.S. airspace. It oversees air traffic control services at airports and along flight routes, coordinating aircraft arrivals, departures, and en-route traffic to prevent collisions and delays. The ATO ensures that airlines, cargo carriers, and private pilots can fly securely and smoothly, using a network of control towers, radar facilities, and communication systems. Its goal is to maintain safe, efficient, and reliable air travel within the national airspace system.
