Atmospheric dust
Atmospheric dust consists of tiny particles suspended in the air, originating from natural sources like soil erosion, volcanic eruptions, and sea spray, as well as human activities such as agriculture and industrial processes. These micro-particles can include minerals, organic matter, and pollutants. Dust influences climate by affecting sunlight and cloud formation, impacts air quality and health, and plays a role in nutrient distribution across ecosystems. Although invisible to the naked eye in small amounts, dust particles can accumulate and travel vast distances, affecting regions far from their original source.
