Atherogenicity

Atherogenicity refers to the likelihood of forming fatty deposits, called plaques, in the arteries. These deposits can narrow or block blood flow, increasing the risk of heart attacks and strokes. Factors such as high levels of unhealthy fats in the blood, poor diet, and lifestyle choices can raise a person’s atherogenicity. Essentially, it's a measure of how likely someone is to develop arterial plaques that impair circulation, highlighting the importance of managing cholesterol, blood pressure, and other health factors to maintain healthy arteries.
