Athari creed

The Athari creed is a traditional Islamic theological approach that emphasizes a literal understanding of God's attributes as described in the Quran and Hadith (sayings of Prophet Muhammad). It upholds the belief that God's qualities, such as His hands or face, should be accepted as they are without metaphorical interpretation, while affirming that God’s essence is beyond human comprehension. Atharis emphasize the importance of maintaining the texts' original meaning, avoiding metaphorical or rational reinterpretation, and adhering closely to the practices and beliefs established by early Muslim scholars.
