Atash Behram
Atash Behram is the most revered fire in Zoroastrianism, considered the highest grade of sacred fire. It is meticulously maintained through a centuries-old tradition, originating from the sacred fires brought to India by Zoroastrian priests fleeing Persia. The fire is kept burning continuously in Mumbai’s Atash Behram temple, symbolizing divine purity, spiritual resilience, and eternal life. Only 16 Atash Behram fires exist worldwide, and creating a new one requires complex rituals with seven pure, consecrated fires combined under strict religious guidelines.
