AT (Appalachian Trail)
The Appalachian Trail (AT) is a long-distance hiking route stretching approximately 2,200 miles across the eastern United States, from Georgia to Maine. It passes through 14 states and offers hikers a chance to experience diverse landscapes, including mountains, forests, and small towns. Originally developed in the 1920s and completed in 1968, the trail is managed by various organizations and maintained by volunteers. It attracts both thru-hikers, who attempt to complete the full route in one season, and section-hikers, who explore parts of the trail over time. The AT is a symbol of outdoor adventure, endurance, and natural beauty.
