ASW Warfare

Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) involves strategies and technologies used by navies to detect, track, and neutralize enemy submarines. Submarines are stealthy and challenging to find, so ASW employs sonar (underwater sound detection), aircraft, ships, and underwater sensors to locate them. Once identified, the goal is to prevent or eliminate submarine threats to protect maritime security, shipping lanes, and naval forces. ASW requires coordination and advanced equipment to detect and counter covert submarine operations effectively.
