Astrobiology research

Astrobiology research explores the origins, evolution, and distribution of life beyond Earth. Scientists study extreme environments on our planet to find conditions similar to other planets and moons, investigate potential habitats elsewhere in the solar system, and understand how life might arise from basic chemical elements. This multidisciplinary field combines astronomy, biology, geology, and chemistry to answer big questions like whether we are alone in the universe and where life might exist beyond Earth. Ultimately, astrobiology aims to discover signs of life elsewhere and deepen our understanding of life's place in the cosmos.
