Association of Black Women Historians

The Association of Black Women Historians (ABWH) is an organization dedicated to supporting and promoting the work of Black women historians. It aims to amplify their voices, share their research, and address issues related to race and gender in history. Through conferences, publications, and networking, ABWH fosters scholarship, advocacy, and mentorship, contributing to a more inclusive understanding of history. It also works to challenge and expand traditional historical narratives by highlighting the experiences and contributions of Black women.
