Associate justice
An Associate Justice is a member of the Supreme Court, which is the highest court in the United States. The Supreme Court has nine justices: one Chief Justice and eight Associate Justices. Associate Justices review important legal cases, interpret the Constitution, and make decisions that influence American law and society. They work together to ensure laws are fair, consistent, and constitutional. Their role is vital in shaping legal standards and protecting individual rights. While they share responsibilities, the Chief Justice presides over the court's sessions, and Associate Justices contribute equally to decisions.
