Assignor

An assignor is a person or entity that transfers rights, responsibilities, or properties to another party, known as the assignee. This term is commonly used in legal contexts, such as contracts or agreements. For example, if someone has a lease on an apartment and wants to move out before the lease ends, they might assign their lease to another person. The assignor remains responsible for the original agreement, but the assignee takes over the rights and obligations related to that agreement. Essentially, the assignor facilitates the transfer of interests from one party to another.
