Assembly Constituencies
Assembly constituencies are geographic areas within a state, each represented by an elected member called an MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly). These constituencies are created to ensure local communities have a voice in the state's legislative process. During state elections, residents of each constituency vote to choose their MLA, who then participates in making laws and policies relevant to their area. The number and boundaries of constituencies are determined by population and administrative considerations, aiming for fair representation in the state's legislative assembly.
