Asif Jahi dynasty
The Asaf Jahi dynasty was a Muslim royal family that ruled the Hyderabad State in India from 1724 to 1948. Founded by Nizam-ul-Mulk, the dynasty established Hyderabad as a major princely state, flourishing in culture, economy, and military strength. They maintained a degree of independence even as the British colonial empire expanded in India. The Nizams, as the rulers were called, were known for their wealth, progressive administration, and contributions to architecture and education. The dynasty ended when Hyderabad was integrated into India in 1948, following India's independence from British rule.
