Asiatic Wild Dog (Dhole)
The Asiatic Wild Dog, also known as the Dhole or Indian Wild Dog, is a sociable carnivore native to Asia. They live in packs and are excellent hunters, primarily preying on deer, monkeys, and other medium-sized animals. Dhole packs communicate through barking and scent marking, helping coordinate hunts and territory. They are medium-sized, with reddish coat, bushy tail, and sharp teeth. Dholes are important for maintaining balanced ecosystems but face threats from habitat loss and hunting. They are adaptable but endangered, requiring conservation efforts to ensure their survival in the wild.
