Asian Monetary Fund

The Asian Monetary Fund (AMF) is a proposed financial institution meant to support Asian countries during economic crises, similar to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). It aims to provide short-term financial assistance, promote regional economic stability, and reduce reliance on external aid. The AMF would be managed by Asian nations themselves, fostering regional cooperation. However, it has not been established yet, partly due to concerns about its potential overlap with the IMF and differences among Asian countries about how it should operate.
