Artificial Narrow Intelligence
Artificial Narrow Intelligence (ANI) refers to computer systems designed to perform specific tasks or solve particular problems with high proficiency, like voice assistants, recommendation systems, or language translators. Unlike human intelligence, ANI is specialized and lacks general understanding or consciousness. It operates within predefined parameters and cannot easily adapt beyond its programmed functions. ANI is the most common form of AI today, enabling machines to automate tasks efficiently, improve services, and assist humans in various industries without possessing true self-awareness or broad cognitive abilities.
