Articles 34 and 36 TFEU

Articles 34 and 36 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU) address the free movement of goods within the EU. Article 34 prohibits member states from imposing restrictions on imports and exports between countries in the EU, promoting a single market. Article 36 allows exceptions for public health, safety, and morals, enabling countries to impose certain limitations if necessary for these reasons. Together, they balance the goal of free trade with the need to protect essential interests within member states.
