Article 17 of GDPR

Article 17 of the GDPR, often called the "right to erasure" or "right to be forgotten," gives individuals the ability to request the removal of their personal data from a company's records. When someone exercises this right, the organization must delete their data unless there are valid reasons to keep it, such as legal obligations or public interest. The goal is to give people more control over their personal information and ensure their data isn't kept longer than necessary. However, this right isn't absolute and must be balanced with other legal rights and obligations.
