Article 138 (UCMJ)

Article 138 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) allows servicemembers to file complaints if they believe they are subjected to unlawful actions or the abuse of authority by their superiors. Essentially, if a military member feels that a commander has wronged them or violated their rights, they can formally report this issue to higher authorities. The intent is to ensure accountability and provide a means for justice within the military structure, allowing individuals to seek redress without fear of retaliation for raising concerns about leadership behavior.
