Arthropods

Arthropods are a diverse group of invertebrates characterized by their segmented bodies, exoskeletons made of chitin, and jointed limbs. They include insects, arachnids (like spiders and scorpions), crustaceans (such as crabs and shrimp), and myriapods (centipedes and millipedes). Arthropods play vital roles in ecosystems as pollinators, decomposers, and food sources for other animals. Their exoskeletons protect them and require periodic molting for growth. With over a million known species, they are the most numerous and diverse group of animals on Earth.
