ARQ in satellite communications

ARQ, or Automatic Repeat reQuest, is a method used in satellite communications to ensure data is transmitted accurately. When data is sent from one point to another, ARQ checks if the received data is correct. If errors are found or parts are missing, the receiver requests a resend of the affected data. This process continues until all data is correctly received. ARQ helps maintain reliable communication over satellite links, which can be prone to errors due to signal interference or delays, by automatically managing retransmissions without human intervention.
