Army Special Operations Forces (ASOF)

Army Special Operations Forces (ASOF) are elite units within the U.S. Army trained to conduct sensitive missions that conventional forces cannot easily accomplish. These missions include reconnaissance, direct action, hostage rescue, counter-terrorism, and unconventional warfare. ASOF units, such as the Green Berets, are highly trained in language, cultural understanding, and specialized tactics to operate covertly and adapt quickly to complex environments around the world. They work closely with allied nations and often operate behind enemy lines to gather intelligence, influence or Support foreign governments, and ensure national security.
