Army Physical Fitness Test
The Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) is a standardized assessment used to evaluate the physical readiness of soldiers. It typically includes three components:Push-Ups to measure upper body strength, Sit-Ups to assess core strength and endurance, and a timed two-mile run to evaluate cardiovascular endurance. Each component has specific standards based on age and gender, and soldiers must meet or exceed these standards to demonstrate their physical fitness. The APFT helps ensure soldiers maintain the physical capability required for military duties and promotes overall health and readiness.
