
Army Combat Fitness Test
The Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) is a comprehensive physical assessment used to evaluate soldiers’ strength, endurance, and overall readiness for combat. It includes six events: a deadlift for strength, a movement drill called the standing power throw, a hand-release push-up for upper body endurance, a sprint-drag-carry for cardiovascular fitness and agility, leg tucks for core strength, and a two-mile run for cardiovascular endurance. The test aims to ensure soldiers can perform various physical tasks required in combat scenarios, promoting health, resilience, and mission readiness across the force.
