Armed Non-State Groups
Armed Non-State Groups (ANSGs) are organizations that use armed force or violence but are not officially part of any government. They can include rebels, guerrilla fighters, insurgents, or terrorist groups. These groups often operate within a single country or across borders, pursuing political, ideological, or economic goals outside the formal control of states. Their activities can create instability, threaten security, and challenge government authority, often involving tactics like fighting, sabotage, or terrorism. Despite lacking official government status, ANSGs can be powerful actors influencing regional or global stability.
