Aristotelian geocentrism
Aristotelian geocentrism is an ancient cosmological model where Earth is at the universe’s center and remains motionless. In this view, all celestial bodies—planets, stars, Sun—revolve around Earth in perfect circles. Aristotle believed that natural motion directed heavenly objects toward their proper place, with the heavens being perfect and unchanging. This model explained the apparent daily movement of stars and planets and was widely accepted until scientific advances demonstrated that Earth orbits the Sun, leading to the heliocentric model.
