Arhat
An Arhat is a respectful term used in Buddhism to describe someone who has achieved full enlightenment and liberation from the cycle of birth, death, and suffering (samsara). This individual has deeply practiced the path of spiritual development, particularly through ethical conduct, meditation, and wisdom, resulting in a profound understanding of reality. Arhats are seen as models of spiritual attainment, having overcome desires and ignorance. While they have reached personal liberation, they often emphasize compassionate action to assist others in their journey toward enlightenment.
