Argentine National Congress
The Argentine National Congress is the country's legislative branch, responsible for making laws and overseeing the government. It is a bicameral body, composed of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. The Senate has 72 members, with three representatives from each of Argentina’s 23 provinces and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, serving six-year terms. The Chamber of Deputies has 257 members elected for four years, based on population distribution. Together, they debate, modify, and approve laws, ensuring representation for different regions and interests, and serving as a key component of Argentina’s democratic system.
