Ares I (NASA rocket)

Ares I was a NASA rocket designed to carry astronauts into space, primarily for lunar missions. It consisted of a solid rocket booster (like a powerful firework) that provided most of the thrust at launch, and an upper stage with a liquid-fueled engine to continue the journey into orbit. Ares I was part of NASA's Constellation Program, aiming to return humans to the Moon. The rocket was intended to be safer and more reliable than earlier designs, but the program was canceled in 2010 before its full development or flight.
